Asbestos testing →Mold removal in Las Vegas, done to the standard
Mold removal in Las Vegas is not a spray-and-wipe job, and treating it like one is why so many homeowners end up paying twice. Mold is a moisture problem wearing a costume, spores live in every building and only bloom into a colony when they find a wet surface to feed on. Real mold removal finds that water source, contains the work area so demolition cannot push spores into clean rooms, removes the colonized material, and then proves the space is clean with independent lab testing before anyone calls it finished.
That standard has a name, ANSI/IICRC S520, and our founder Craig Herrmann helped write it. Every removal we perform across Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, Spring Valley, and Paradise is measured against the national rulebook, not against whatever is fastest. No subcontractors, every technician is a certified W-2 employee, and the on-site inspection is free for homeowners and property owners.
If you can see mold, smell a musty odor, or you have had recent water damage, the honest next step is a measured look, not a panic. Read the full mold remediation process we follow, or call (702) 442-1126 for one-hour emergency response, 24/7.
Why Mold Eliminators
Three things franchises can’t copy
01 Standards, not shortcuts
Every job is measured against the S520 standard Craig helped author. The rulebook isn’t marketing, it’s the floor we start from.
02 Independent truth
Third-party accredited labs verify results, and the on-site mold inspection is free. We profit from fixing the problem, never from inventing one.
03 In-house accountability
No subcontractors. Every technician is a certified W-2 employee. If our name is on it, our people did it.
Trusted across the valley
Meet Craig, and hear from the people he’s helped
For six years Craig sat on the ANSI/IICRC S520 Consensus Body, helping write the national mold standard every Nevada company must follow, with 16 IICRC certifications and a spot as one of just three Master Certified Flood Experts in Southern Nevada.
Co-author of the ANSI/IICRC S520 standard (4th Ed., 2024)
“They came the next day, arrived a few minutes early, and looked at the issue honestly. Oliver advised I really didn’t need their services and explained how to fix it myself. That kind of honesty is rare. I would highly recommend this company.”
“When our hot water heater flooded the utility room, Mold Eliminators responded within the hour. They brought industrial dryers and checked back twice a day. The wall was tested clean before they closed it up. Professional from start to finish.”
“Mold Eliminators came the morning after I called. They were honest and said my issue was minor with almost no mold to remove. They didn’t try to upsell me. I really appreciated that and couldn’t recommend them more.”

What Las Vegas homeowners ask before hiring a mold removal company
Almost every call starts with the same handful of questions. Here are the honest answers, and where to read the long version.
What does it cost?
Most Las Vegas mold jobs land between $1,000 and $6,000, and the average is about $2,214. Square footage, whether the mold is hidden inside a wall, and whether it reached the HVAC system are what move the number. We quote in writing after seeing it, never over the phone. Here is the full mold removal cost breakdown.
Will insurance pay for it?
A sudden, accidental water event is usually covered. A slow drip nobody noticed for months usually is not, and many policies cap mold separately. We document the loss the way an adjuster needs it, so whatever coverage exists actually gets claimed. Read whether homeowners insurance covers mold.
Do we have to move out?
Usually no. The work area is sealed and held under negative air pressure, so the rest of the house stays separate from it. A large job, a bedroom that has to come apart, or someone in the house with a compromised immune system can change that, and we say so before the first sheet of plastic goes up. Here is when you should leave your home during mold remediation.
Who puts the wall back?
We do. Drywall, texture, paint and flooring go back with our own crew, so you are not hunting for a second contractor after remediation leaves a hole in your kitchen wall. See a mold removal and drywall restoration job from the first call to a finished room.
Is it even mold?
Often it is not. We have been called out to soap scum, old water staining and dust on a return vent. A musty odor, dark staining, warped baseboards or a water bill that jumped are the tells worth acting on. Read the signs of mold in your home, and if it turns out to be nothing, we will say so and leave.
How do you prove what is there?
Samples go to an accredited third party lab with no stake in the result, which is the opposite of an in house lab grading its own findings. Start with mold testing for surfaces and materials, or indoor air quality testing when you can smell it but cannot find it.
What about the smell?
Musty, sewage, cigarette and smoke odors are treated at the source with hydroxyl generators and air scrubbers, not covered with fragrance. See smoke and odor removal. What we do not do is full fire restoration, contents pack out or post fire rebuilds, and we will tell you that rather than take work we are not the right company for.
Do you handle biohazard scenes?
Yes, with our own certified technicians, under OSHA bloodborne pathogen rules, and regulated waste is containerized and manifested to a licensed facility. Families are rarely paying for this out of pocket once insurance and Nevada victim assistance are counted. See crime scene cleanup.
Do you work in condos and rentals?
Single family homes, condos, high rise units, rental property and commercial space. When the water arrived from the unit upstairs or from a common element, who pays becomes its own question. Read HOA and condo water damage responsibility.
Does Nevada license mold companies?
It does not. There is no state mold contractor license and no state mold exam, which is exactly why the standard a company works to matters more here than what a business card claims. Read Nevada mold regulations.
How do we stop it coming back?
Fix the water. Swamp cooler pans, slab leaks under tile, hard water at appliance connections and monsoon roof details cause most of what we find in this valley. Read mold prevention tips for desert homes.
